inspiration, she has deserted me

i'm supposed to write a short story following the formula of the monomyth cycle. while browsing through short stories, i suddenly remembered my favourite short story of all time. the nightingale and the rose.

it never fails to touch me. ever.

i would love to be able to churn something out like that in three days. any suggestions?
