dream sweet dream for one of my assignments, we were required to write a linear narrative based on the monomyth cycle. this is my little version based on neil gaiman's Endless characters, though not entirely. * * * "An orange-tailed bird... a flaming tree... a giant golden ball, perhaps?" she asked herself, pursing her cherry red lips in concentration. Hair as black as a crow's feather flowed gracefully around her glowing pale skin, contrasting with her emerald eyes. It was virtually impossible to keep an eye on Dream, for she never maintained a solid form for long. One moment she would be by her large rosewood desk, next fading into mist only to reappear by the tall shelves where she kept her jars of work. What work? Why, dreams of course! "Another jar of perfection!" she smiled to herself in contentment admiring her new concoction, oblivious to her surroundings. Dream had a habit of drifting off into her own world, a quality which sometimes did not sit well with her more lucid siblings – Death, Desire, Delirium, Destiny, Despair and Destruction. * * * more to come... a bit of a rush job, so please ignore the rough edges. and i don't know how the hell they expect an entire story in 1000 words. ridiculous i tell you. absolute rubbish. one thousand words. pffft. that's just enough words to introduce a character!! Alysia S. procrastinated again @ 8:46 pm
